I'm so Rodlike!

Playing fighting games like Karate Champ as a wee, single digit-aged boy while standing on a milk crate at one of the local Bodegas of The Bronx during the 80’s, Rodney Reid has always been a fan of Fighting Games for as long as his interest in Video Gaming began. Fast forward to 2009 where Ultra Street Fighter IV ushered in a new era of Warriors was the time where Rodney decided to return and be an active part of the fighting game community after nearly a ten year hiatus. Although getting into the scene was fairly easy, some of things he observed in the community once he was on the inside didn't sit well. And after careful consideration, he decided he needed to create the change he wanted to see. Thus, Kick-Punch-Block! was born. Co-founded with his longtime friend Stephen Chhouth, KPB is a dream made into a reality that’s just barely begun.

Why my long island ice tea taste like water?

Stephen, co-founder and the silent voice of Kick Punch Block, grew up with fighting games.

From Neo-Crash to Chinatown Fair, he can be found playing anything from Street Fighter II to Arcana Heart. Currently known as Rage, he is the Gate Guardian of the King of Fighters scene placing 9th at majors no matter how many enters. He currently plays Street Fighter V and KOF XIV awaiting new adventures.

At KPB, he is the lead event broadcaster and technical adviser. Forming KPB with childhood friend, Rodimus Prime, he sees no end to the growth of the FGC.

Give all you can, take nothing back.

Otherwise, know as "The Voice of KPB", Aphro Dynamek's presence is strongest behind the scenes. While not as widely known as some of his other teammates, he makes the deals, puts the money on the table and reaches out to the people. He's just part of the driving force behind Kick-Punch-Block. Whether providing color commentary during the streams or expressing his unique opinions on this website, his ultimate goal is to see not only his team rise to glory, but rather the entire fighting game community.

Dhoppler likes to take long walks in the park while trashing thugs and eating hearty meals from shattered public bins, or at least that's how he likes to explain his healthy obsession with beat'em ups. There's a rumor that he can't eat bread. In Skullgirls, he claims he'll never drop peacock simply for his love of steamrollers and gang stomping fools.

FuLLBLee D:

Chris "FuLLBLeeD" Cunningham, is a Kansas City, Missouri based player. He has traveled to many Skullgirls tournaments including UFGTX, Northwest Majors, Combo Breaker, and Frosty Faustings. He has placed Top 8 at several events including UFGTX, Frosty Faustings, and Northwest Majors 2015. He is a community leader in the Kansas City fighting game community, and is one of the event organizers and tournament staff for MAXOUT, a monthly Kansas City based tournament series. MAXOUT is one of the largest and longest running tournament series in the Midwest.

His goal is to help grow scenes for "alt games" (games that aren't SF5) as much as possible, and help the fighting game part of the fighting game community grow as much as possible. He wants to prove that people care about games that aren't necessarily Tier 1 in terms of popularity or attendance.

It's your old pal, McPeanuts! McPeanuts's main game is Skullgirls, and he is arguably one of the twelve best Peacock players in the state of Massachusetts. Big Band and Double are also on the team, they are good teammates for Peacock. Contrary to popular misconception, McPeanuts does NOT hack PS4s, has never hacked a PS4, is not a hacker, and the number of Road Rollers he gets is perfectly reasonable giving the sampling size of level 3 items. Thanks for reading the bio!

Reza is mainly a Street Fighter player in the FGC, but also loves casual gaming. Her favorite titles include Kingdom Hearts, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Chrono Trigger. When she's not fawning over Nightwing and Captain America, she likes to eat her weight in chicken wings and regret it (but not actually) afterwards. She has been playing video games for as long as she could remember and has gotten the competitive bug upon joining KPB. Her worst nightmares are spiders, bad coffee, and going 0-2.

Zidiane is a well known Skullgirls player, mostly known as one of the best Cerebellas. He wants everyone to play Skullgirls. He is a team member here, as well as a writer for SRK. Fan of older games. Warning: will rant about relatively minor things, like colors.

C'est la vie.

Kevin "DarkKV" Vega is a member of the KPB stream team, born and raised in the suburbs of Miami, Florida. At the age of 13 (2010) he discovered the one and only MvC2 cabinet at the Gameworks he would visit often at the time, and ever since then he would never spend any of his credits on any other game at that arcade. His passion for fighting games grew exponentially over the years.

He began streaming on Justin.tv during his freshman year of high school in 2011 and later switched to Twitch the following year, slowly learning and developing the skills needed to one day stream full-time. Throughout high school he only played MvC2 and UMvC3 somewhat casually. However, near the end of his senior year in 2015, he expanded onto multiple other fighting games and began to stream them for almost 24/7 after graduation. During this time was when he discovered his new-found favorite fighting game of all time, Skullgirls. After learning so much knowledge on the fighting game genre, he picked up Ultra Street Fighter IV, also developing a passion for anime fighters on the side, and began to practice Guilty Gear XRD -Sign-, Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend, and Melty Blood Actress Again alongside his main game, Skullgirls. As an extremely competitive and disciplined person, even as a child, he settles for nothing but the best in his class or character.

Follow your heart but use your head.

Going by "AJ" in various Saiyan forms through his tags and "Parappa" as his pen name (because how can you have a team named Kick-Punch-Block without one), Aaron Galasso is a writer for KPB.

Born & raised in Yonkers, NY, Aaron started punishing tiger shots at Age 3. A lifer to fighting games but 09er to the FGC, Parappa was introduced to KPB during their weekly sessions. Getting friendly with the crew, he started to bring his Project M setup to give the sessions some Smash flavor. As an aspiring author, writing for KPB was a no-brainer. Born into a family of coaches, he takes a cerebral approach as a player and is gradually working towards being more than a face in the crowd.

Parappa is best described as a jack of all trades gamer. He has played most fighters and video game genres on a casual level at least. Only a handful of games like KOF, MMOs, MOBAs, anime fighters escape his résumé, but that’s always subject to change. With an advocate of "If it has decent mechanics behind it, it’s worth a shot!", Parappa also enjoys card and board games like Chess, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Hearthstone. Long term, he’s got huge plans for himself, the team and FGC.

Long Live Marvel!

This is Trent aka 2Tall. He’s been associating with KPB for quite some time now as he went to Summer Jam with them in 2013, but he’s here and ready to join the family. Currently, he’s a student at Baruch College. Over the years, he’s developed a love for fighting games. KPB was instrumental in fostering that love as they hosted casual and tournament events in Westchester where 2Tall resides. For those wondering, he’s 6’8. Hence why the moniker is 2Tall. His specialty when it comes to fighting games is Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 as that’s the game he’s invested the most time into. 2Tall says It’s the most fun fighting game that he’s ever played and it will probably continue to be that way until Marvel vs Capcom 4 comes out. “Nothing has brought me more joy than Marvel!” Anyways, he loves this team that we call family and he’s super excited for what the future with us brings.
